Working our dogs
We both have been active in search and rescue for many years. Brit-Elin competed with Baghera for many years in class A. Baghera was especially good at tracking. Cato competed first with Monty and later on with Zorro in class A - he participated mostly in rescue. We both participated at the first Working Trial (search and rescue) seminar that was arranged at Sølen in 1989. We have been in Sweden and Norway several times for weekly seminars in search and rescue. We also have participated in weekly seminars in gundog training, field trial and tracking and obedience. Brit-Elin is well on her way both with NUCH Aniaras Odin and Nord NUCH NORD UV-02 Aniaras Vasco Da Gama and Cato also is doing well with his Ravenhall Fire Storm (Kevin) After having done a little gundog training with Monty and Baghera in the last of the 80s this training has not been continued until quite recently. If we manage to train more regularly on with game, we aim for field trial next year. We also participate a little in Obedience, but the time does not always allow us to do so. Shows, litters, travelling and following-up of our bitches take up much time and work. Cato also enjoys fly-fishing, and baiting in fresh water - and with bait, lures, nets, pots and jig in the sea. Some years our boat only is used a few times if used at all, but Cato usualy catches some maquerel, haddock or cod for dinner. The priority always lie with the dogs.
